Christadelphian Tutors and Support

Sometimes there is a need for support - either generally or within a specific specialist subject, especially as children get older or are preparing for exams.

This section of our website contains listings of those within the Christadelphian community who are open to helping homeschooling families. Some of these tutors are current or ex school teachers and specialists in specific subjects. Others are more general members of the community who enjoy working with children. Some of these tutors are offering their time for free, others have a fee connected to their tutor services.

It is our hope that these offers of support can be used to supplement a homeschooled education and is a way our community can help each other as we await the coming of the Lord.

Apply for a listing

Do you have time and knowledge to offer, or are you a teacher? Do you like working with children and would you like to help support Homeschooling families? Why not appear as a listing on our site so that Homeschooling families can reach out to you if they need your support?

Please note: to apply for listing you have to be an approved member of the Network. It is free to join and only takes a short while to be approved.

You do not have to be a qualified teacher to offer help, nor necessarily have an academic skill.

Ideas for ways of helping:

Academic:

  • Teaching a specialist subject (e.g. Geography, History etc.)

  • Troubleshooting specific problem areas in a specialist subject

  • Advice on exam preparation

Non-Academic

  • Listening to reading

  • Being part of an audience for presentations

  • Running a club

  • Teaching a craft or a skill (e.g. Sewing, woodwork etc.)

  • Organising or helping with a sports activity

  • Anything else you can think of!

Do not feel restricted by geographical location - if you have a good internet connection, many activities can be done via Zoom, Skype or other web-meeting technology - either one-to-one or in a "classroom" format.
